Guaranteed Pre-Set, Scheduled Appointments are the specialty of the National Lawn & Garden Show and are what sets the event apart from other trade events. High volume buyers are matched with quality manufacturers based on common product interests resulting in thousands of qualified appointments. Ample time is reserved for buyers to visit the Point of Purchase (POP) Showcase and New Product/Prototype areas.


Who participates?
NLGS Appointments are exclusive and open only to qualified decision-making buyers and manufacturers. Exhibitors must have high volume manufacturing capabilities, possess the ability to distribute nationally, and be prepared to entertain international interest. Buyers are high volume buyers with extensive purchasing authority.

How do the appointments work?
  • Buyers select the product categories they are interested in, which determines the sellers they will see.
  • Sellers select their product categories, which determines which buyers they match. Closer to the event sellers choose which "matching" buyers they would like to see and can sort the buyers by importance and priority.
  • Appointments are scheduled in advance by a proprietary automated appointment program based on matching product categories so the buyers and sellers will only see companies that have selected their respective product categories.
  • Appointment schedules are distributed to buyers and sellers at the event.
  • Buyers are assigned conference tables while sellers follow their schedule and move from table to table.
  • Each appointment is 10 minutes in length and voice prompts over the PA system keep the appointments running smoothly.
  • If a buyer and a seller wish to meet longer, "Bonus Time" is set aside each day to facilitate a second (or third) meeting.
  • NLGS is managed and the software powered by Controlled Marketing Conferences (CMC), a service provider to the Tradeshow Industry.
